Mr. Miller began his career in the Florence Unified School District in 2009, teaching at Florence High School. Since joining the FUSD family, he has been a classroom teacher, academic coach, assistant principal, and principal. During his teaching career, Mr. Miller taught courses in Computer Programming, Computer Animation, IB Psychology, IB 20th Century World History, and AP Government and Politics. Mr. Miller has been an administrator at both the high school level (Combs High School, San Tan Foothills High School) and the K8 Level (Florence K8).
Prior to his career in education, Mr. Miller served for 8 years in the United States Navy as military police officer and a K9 handler. Mr. Miller has a Bachelor’s Degree in History from the University of Maryland, a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education with a focus on Technology from Arizona State University, and a Master’s Degree in School Administration from Jones International University.

Robin Tobar has been an employee at Florence Unified School District since 2008. Since she began teaching 20 years ago, Ms. Tobar has taught elementary, middle, and high school students and was an Instructional Coach before coming to San Tan Foothills as an administrator.
Robin is almost a native to Arizona, moving here from Colorado when she was too young to remember. She graduated high school as a Mountain View Toro and moved on to college where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University, a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University, and a Specialist in Education degree with a focus in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University.
When she is not working, Robin enjoys spending time with her friends and family, including her three children and grandson. They can often be found playing games, playing in the water, playing in the desert, or taking small adventures and building memories.

Candace Perales has been an employee of the Florence Unified School District since 2008. She originally moved to Arizona from Michigan in 2007 to pursue a teaching career with her husband Matthew.
She has a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary English Education with focuses in Comparative Religion and History and graduated with high honors from the Lee Honors College at Western Michigan University. While in college, she was a member of the 325 member Bronco Marching Band where she played piccolo and was able to pursue a passion for music and the arts.
In 2015, she completed her Master’s degree in Educational Leadership with Administration certification from Western Governor’s University. During her time in FUSD, she has taught middle school language arts and science and high school science as well. Candace has been the advisor for groups such as National Honor Society, student council, yearbook, stagecraft, video journalism.
During her career in education, she has served as grade level team lead, and department chair and currently is the Instructional Coach for San Tan Foothills High School. She has also received the award for Teacher of the Year for San Tan Valley and FUSD.
When she is not working with students and teachers, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their son Lincoln, as well as spending time with family and friends.
Rick Romero has been an employee of the Florence Unified School District since 2003. Rick has over 20 years experience in teaching and coaching in FUSD. He has coached at Walker Butte, Florence High School, Poston Butte High School before coming to coach at San Tan Foothills in 2017. Rick spent many years as the Physical Education Teacher at Walker Butte Leadership School.
He has a Bachelor’s degree in Education with focuses in Physical Education from Northern Arizona University and a master’s degree from North Central University in Educational Leadership.
“Building relationships over the years in the San Tan Valley area has been a goal of mine and being able to teach a couple of generations of families in the area has been amazing”. Rick’s wife, Kristin, also works for the Florence School District and their three kids have attended FUSD schools.
